Sarah Elaine Smith is the author of the novel Marilou Is Everywhere (Riverhead Books 2019) and the poetry collection I Live in a Hut (Cleveland State University Poetry Center 2012). She has MFAs in poetry and fiction from the Michener Center for Writers and the Iowa Writers' Workshop, respectively, and her work has been supported by Macdowell, the Texas Institute of Letters, and the Keene Prize for Literature.
